Sphinx enamel & paste dog brooch

This cute brooch is by Sphinx the English costume jewellery company. It is a dog (I think a bulldog but I stand to be corrected as I am more of a cat person! ) and in gold tone metal. The dog's body is in cream enamel with white paste set areas to his underside and flanks and his chest and lower part of the face. The dog has green paste eyes and a red enamel lower jaw. The textured back has an oval cartouche stamped "Sphinx". His ears are pricked waiting for a call home!
